This policy explains what personal data Unicsoft Tech Limited ("Anka", "we") collects when you use the Anka app and website, why, and your rights under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. Contact us at support@yanksapp.com.ng.
What we collect
- Account: phone number or email, password (stored scrambled), date of birth, the creator code you entered (if any).
- Profile: name, username, photos, bio, interests, the stage you choose (PCM, corper, student, professional and so on), NYSC or school details you add, and your goals.
- Activity: messages, status updates, room messages, likes and matches, reports you make.
- Location: your approximate location, only if you allow it, for "near you" and distance.
- Payments: what you bought and the Paystack reference. Your card details go to Paystack, never to us.
- Device: notification tokens, browser type and basic logs used for security.
Why we use it
- To run Anka: your account, chats, rooms, matches and suggestions.
- To keep people safe: verification, spam and abuse prevention, handling reports.
- To process payments and pay partner commissions.
- To send you notifications and service emails.
Who we share it with
We never sell your data. We share only what each service needs to work: Paystack (payments), Cloudflare (hosting, storage and security), our email and SMS providers ([EMAIL PROVIDER], [SMS PROVIDER]), and authorities when the law requires it. If you signed up with a creator code, that creator sees a shortened version of your name and whether you subscribed.
How long we keep it
- Status updates disappear after 24 hours; room messages after 48 hours unless reported.
- When you delete your account we delete your profile, photos and messages within [NUMBER] days. Payment records are kept as the law requires.
Your rights
You can see, correct, download or delete your data, object to some uses and withdraw consent (for example, location). Most of this is in the app under Profile and Settings; for anything else, email us. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Age
Anka is for people 18 and over. We remove accounts we believe belong to anyone younger.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
